Feeding Instructions
A consistent feeding schedule promotes successful house training and healthy weight gain for your new puppy. I provide one take home wet food can & one dry kibble bag of Purina Puppy Chow, it is high in protien and all the vitamins a growing puppy needs. Mix a 1/4 cup of the wet food with a 1/4 cup of the kibble. There is no need to follow a complicated chart, a small breed puppy such as the Morkie will require 1/4 - 1/2 cup of food spread throughout the day totaling 3 to 4 meals daily. When they reach adulthood, they will eat twice a day roughly the same amount of food.

House Training
TRAIN WHILE THEY ARE YOUNG: House training is crucial during the puppy stage. Training them where to go early, will save you the frustration of cleaning up in the future. Their feeding schedule is the most important part of training. A meal for them is like a cup of hot strong coffee for us, needless to say, it's coming soon. Make sure you have a designated area for them to go to when that time comes. A poop will happen betweeen 5 and 15 minutes after a meal. In the begining you will need to take or direct them to their designated area within 5 to 15 minutes of eating and keep them there, until the magic happens. As they grow they will learn where they need to go and you will no longer need to show them. It may seem time consuimg but it is time well spent in the long run. Monitor them closely and if they do their business, praise them while stating the command you wish to teach them when they are finished, like "Good! Go Potty! Good!" If they havent done their business within 5 to 10 minutes in the designated area, it is okay to let them roam around, just watch them closely for any signs like sniffing the floor franticly. If an accident happens, stay calm, walk to them, pick them up and place them back in the designated area for a few minutes. If any dribbles happen on a pad, leave them there so they can smell their scent later and that will be their hint for next time that this is where they need to go. If an accident occurs, DO NOT escalate the situation by yelling or becoming aggressive, this will only scare them, not teach them. Again, calmly walk to them, if you come running with your arms flying about, they are likely to run from the scary giant that is disrupting their vulnerable time. You will have a mess to clean up everywhere and worst of all, your puppy will fear you. I'll wrap up the house training section quickly by simply saying, allow them to pee in their designated area every hour in the begining. Do not limit their water intake to try and curve the necessity. At this stage in their life, the world is their potty and they won't know the difference until they are taught. I highly recommend teaching them that their designated area is outside as soon as possible.
